Print the application summary and gather your necessary identification to present at the interview

To complete your application, you must go to the participating Post Office for an interview within 30 days of printing your application summary. Remember to bring your application summary and required identification.

You will receive your TFN within 28 days after the interview. You may not file another application during this time. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will send your TFN to the postal address.

b) Have an Australian bank account

Another requirement that you must meet is to have a bank account with an Australian bank. Opening a bank in Australia is simple; you can apply over the internet. It is unnecessary to be present in the country to open an account like some other banks.

Opening a bank account is quite simple, but getting a credit card can be more challenging for a foreigner. However, a few banks will issue one to non-residents, and that is:
